my new book print & pattern 2 is finally here. the official release date in the UK is monday 10th october - but amazon have already taken delivery of stocks. it is the follow up book to my 2010 original and this time features another 100 different designers so that both books can sit together as a set with no double ups. artists and companies featured include marimekko, designers guild, rob ryan, darling clemetine, donna wilson, jonathan adler, amy butler, K&company, cosmo cricket, by graziela, and ingela p arrnhenius. you can find it here on amazon uk and on amazon usa or use the isbn number 978-1856697927 to find it at your prefered bookseller. here are a few snapshots of some of the spreads to give you just a flavour....

the wait is over at last, the print & pattern book is finally here, and today im posting some snapshots to give you the flavour of how it turned out. i have included 120 designers spread over 300 pages each with a mini bio and contact details. they've been gathered from all over the world, many of them are people i approached back in 2008 when i first had the chance to make this book. we also had a call for entries here on P+P which resulted in hundreds of submissions, in fact we had more good stuff than space allowed. some of those included are : orla kiely, cath kidston, paperchase, caroline gardner, lotta kuhlhorn, petra boase, crowded teeth, rock scissor paper, nathalie lete, sukie, and sanna annukka. the official date for release is march 1st but amazon uk have stock in already. in the USA the wait is slightly longer, with amazon us putting it down as march 24th. but with chronicle books distributing it here its sure to widely available when the time comes.

i was thrilled to spot the print & pattern book in the book shop at the museum of modern art (moma) in new york last week. the above shot was taken in the main museum up on 53rd street and below in the spring street shop.

spotted last week in urban outfitters on london's oxford street. the book was dotted around the fashion displays, on a book rack, and in the relaxing coffee table area. also online at urban outfitters.

PRESS - red magazine

the print & pattern book is featured in this months 'red' magazine. im delighted they thought it had 'thud factor' and P+P is recommended alongside cath kidston and andy warhol amongst others. the magazine chose to highlight pages by jess gonacha.

i spotted the print & pattern book in foyles bookshop on charing cross road last week. sadly they have put it in the fashion section

digital arts magazine have written a piece about the print & pattern book, focusing on animal and bird prints. they selected images from the book and even created a page just for owls, from which carolyn gavin's super cute ecojot owls even made it onto the cover. if you cant get hold of a copy see an online artical here.
